Background on the model as a class, not measurements taken from this hull.
Blackfin's marketing once dubbed the 32 Combi the “911 Turbo of sportfishing boats”, and she is still regarded as one of the premium day boats of her era. She uses the proven deep-V hull of the Blackfin 32 Sportfisherman, with a wide beam, generous flare at the bow and a sharp 21° of transom deadrise — a beamy, low-profile fishing machine. Blackfins were never inexpensive and were aimed at the upscale end of the market. Although the 32 Combi is plainly built for fishing, her cabin accommodation is surprisingly plush: berths for four and lounge seating opposite the helm on the bridge deck let her double as a weekend cruiser. A transom door was standard, the cockpit takes a full-size fighting chair, and the layout includes a pair of in-deck storage boxes, an integral bow pulpit and wide side decks.
Published performance figures for the 32 Combi are quoted for boats with 320 hp Crusader gasoline engines or 300 hp Cat 3116 diesels. Too Awesome carries Twin Cummins 370 Turbo diesels, so those figures do not describe this vessel and are not reproduced here.
